The Vulcano Solfatara, located within the Regional Park of Campi Flegrei, offers a particularly favourable position to easily reach the immense treasures and the most charming places in its surroundings, starting with the Town of Naples, only few kilometres away, with its ancient centre, the promenade of Caracciolo, one of the nicest in the world, its ancient traditions and extraordinary cuisine, from cakes to pizza. Everyone will be able to surprise everyone.
In the municipality of Pozzuoli, a few metres from the Solfatara, is the Roman amphitheatre, the world's third largest and one of the greatest vestiges of Roman architecture. In Pozzuoli it is still possible to visit the old "macellum", known as the Temple of Serapis, or reach the boarding point to the islands of the Gulf: Capri, Ischia and Procida.
Through the nearby Ring Road, which you can join in Agnano, about four kilometres from the entrance to the Vulcano Solfatara, you can easily reach the nearby peninsula of Sorrento, and then from there the Amalfi Coast, the ruins of Pompeii, the Vesuvio or the Royal Palace of Caserta travelling to the north. Please find a more detailed description of a small part of these treasures through the menu on the right.
